Even more in love with you...
Today is OUR special day and I just wanted to let you know how much you mean to me and how much I am THANKFUL for. Without YOU, my life would not be complete.
So I leave you with this memory of when I said "I Do"...

Creative Cuts & More Blog Hop
Butternut Soup is a favorite South African starter. The butternut has a flavor all on its own and it is great to serve it as a starter before a good roast beef or lamb.
Ingredients
2 medium butternuts
1 apple
2 medium onions
50g butter/margarine (4T)
7 ml medium curry powder (1 ¼ t)
40 g cake flour (4 T)
pinch of ground nutmeg
2 chicken stock cubes
750 ml boiling water (3 c)
500 ml milk (2 c)
7 ml salt (1 ½ t)
Instructions on how to make it
Peel, seed and dice the butternuts. Peel, core and chop the apple. Peel the onions and chop roughly. In a large saucepan, saute the chopped onions in the butter/margarine. Add the curry powder and fry the mixture lightly. Add the butternut and apple and saute the mixture for a while. Add the flour and nutmeg and stir-fry lightly.
Dissolve the chicken stock cubes in the boiling water. Add the stock, together with the milk, and salt, to the butternut mixture. Boil, with the lid on, over moderate heat until the butternut pieces are soft. Stir the mixture occasionally. Puree or blend until smooth. The colour of the soup should be a deep yellow and the texture creamy. Serve the soup hot.
Each bowl of soup may be garnished with a teaspoon of cream and a little finely chopped parsley. For an interesting variation, replace the nutmeg with a little finely grated orange rind and add a few shreds of orange rind to the garnish.
Makes 2 litres (8 cups) of soup.
ENJOY!!!

October Monthly Mojo
This LO won me 1st place for the month at Scrappin Mojo...it is like blind scrapping, you do not see the complete LO or sketch until the end. All you get is steps to follow, quite fun at the time, then they vote for the best one.

La Cote D'Azur {UPDATE}
Get this posted before the next weekend is upon us and have more to write about.
Last weekend we went down the South Coast to a wonderful resort, just the 4 of us, for some wonderful time out and family fun...
The apartments are fully equipped with everything, even to the towels in our bathrooms. All we had to bring was food and ourselves.
Beautiful veranda with ocean views, and watch the sunset...while sipping on a cool beverage, Brutal Fruit, my fav!
On route weather did not look that great on Friday, but we woke up to a beautiful Saturday. Sun shining, so we packed our stuff and headed down for some beach fun. The girls absolutely loved every minute of it, Amy and Chloe loved splashing around in the water and playing in the sand...what more can a child ask for, than a beautiful day out in the fresh air and admiring God's beautiful creations.
After lunch headed down to the pool area for ice creams and some play fun.
By the end of the day, both girls fell asleep real early (all that fresh air, I think).
Sunday, another great day spent on the beach, just chilling...
Sadly, we had to leave later that day, but we sure will be back again real soon!

A little FAMILY catchup...
Been a while since I shared some precious photos of my family.
So, here are a few below...
I grabbed these pics of my 2 sweet monkeys playing on the Ponytail Palm, sure they will make for a great scrapbook LO in the near future. Chloe was feeling a little uneasy being left on her own up the tree...but got a few pics, before the groaning and moaning started.
The photos below were taken at my folk's home 2 weekends ago, just felt that I needed some update family pics of us all...
Thanks for looking!
